S-816 VORTEX REFRIGERATION TRAINING SET

+ -

GENERAL EXPLANATION

In vortex tubes, the temperature difference occurs in 2 separate air flows. Using this principle, cooling is possible.

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION

Vortex tubes are devices that divide a pressure inlet stream into two streams simultaneously, one cooled and one heated. These devices, which enter the regime without delay and have no moving parts except the control valve, can solve many cooling and heating problems. Vortex tubes are used in some fields today because of their small size, light weight, reaching a delayed regime, not requiring chemical refrigerants and thus being ecologically harmless. In vortex tubes, there are studies using fluids such as methane (CH4), carbon dioxide (CO2) and air as compressible fluid. Vortex tubes are usually operated with air and in this study air will be considered as working gas. When the vortex tubes are operated with air and considering the values in the literature, it is seen that the limit working values are – 48 ° C for cold flow and +127 ° C for hot flow.
